Morgan Rhodes

Morgan Rhodes is an award winning filmmaker and owner of Journey Blue Media (formerly Journey Blue Films). Rhodes worked for the American Film Institute where she refined her film making skills by learning from industry professionals and through access to the extensive AFI library. She was part of the New Media Ventures team for the build of AFI.com. While at AFI, she worked as an assistant on several of the television specials, including the Life Achievement Award shows for Tom Hanks, Robert DeNiro, Barbra Streisand, and the 100 Years...100 Thrills TV special.

In 2003, she left AFI to devote her time to the production company where she worked as an Assistant Director on independent films and pilot television projects before making the jump to writer, director and producer. Rhodes has worked on the television show Nip/Tuck and was Co-Executive Producer on Bitter Brew, a television spec pilot starring David Moscow. She has worked on various film projects including, The Job with Darryl Hannah, Moonlight Serenade with Amy Adams, Bunny Whipped with Joey Lauren Adams and Rebecca Gayheart, Trailer Talk with Gordon Clapp and Ron Canada, and Slipstream with Anthony Hopkins.

Ms. Rhodes has also worked as a Digital Artist with Reliance MediaWorks on the theatrical releases of The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons, Avatar and Transformers: Dark of the Moon, as well as, the Blu-Ray and theatrical re-releases of Disney's Snow White, Pinnochio, Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Fantasia 2000 and Cinderella. Other Blu-Ray and film restoration projects include Star Wars: Episode 1, Aliens, The Terminator, True Lies, Rashomon, and The Robe.

Rhodes made her writing and directing debut in 2007 with the short film Little Wings. The film was picked up for worldwide distribution at the Cannes International Film Festival by Singa Home Entertainment.

In 2012, Little Wings was once again picked up for worldwide distribution through streaming, Video on Demand, and DVD/Blu-ray release by FlipsideTV.


Journey Blue Media was created to provide promotional photo and video marketing tools for companies, as well as, action sports coverage. Jane Rhodes Caruthers
Executive Producer

Jane Rhodes Caruthers is an Executive at Journey Blue Media and was Executive Producer on Little Wings. She has a B.S. in Social Science from Centenary College and a M.A. in Counseling from Louisiana Tech University. Caruthers was co-owner at Caruthers Producing, an oil and gas production company, for 19 years. She is also a script adviser and consultant on company projects.
